Rip îl găsește pe fostul membru al JSA Dr. Mid-Nite în Detroit, 3000, ucigându-l și luându-i fragmentul de suliță. Gideon localizează următorul fragment în Anglia Medievală, 507 d.Hr., epoca regelui Arthur. Amaya îl recunoaște pe Merlin drept Stargirl, fostul ei tovarăș în JSA. Ea explică faptul că Hunter s-a alăturat JSA în misiunea lor finală de a asigura sulița.
